Tip Of The Month

Blanketeers:

We've recently been receiving a number of blankets that STRONGLY smell of  perfume. The scent may be from perfume worn by the blanketeer, from a dryer sheet or perfumed detergent or scented plastic bags that blanket were dropped off in. Regardless of the source, we CANNOT give children blankets that have ANY scents on them. Please DO NOT USE any of the above mentioned mentioned products when you are working with a Project Linus blanket. The blankets will be returned to the blanketeer for cleaning before we can give them away if we have contact information for that person.  Thank you for your attention to this important detail.

PS.  We've also been receiving many blankets recently with pet fur on them.  SAME ISSUE - we cannot give children blankets in that condition.  Such blankets also will be returned to the blanketeer for cleaning if we have contact information for that person.  Again, thank you for your attention to this important detail.

Project Linus is a volunteer non-profit 501c3 organization. Our Mission is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade and washable blankets, quilts and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”
